7.1 Does eType record what I type?

No, eType does not save any content that you type as the team behind eType takes all users’ privacy very seriously. eType collects general statistics regarding the typed content without any identification of who the user is while updating and enhancing the vocabulary of the dictionary.

7.2 Does eType update itself or do I need to update it?

All eType dictionaries are updated according to the users’ contributions. While using eType, you can contribute new translations and suggest edit/removal of existing words and translations. The eType team then receives a batch of new approved word choices, and sends out a new update to all our users. Since eType is in its beta phase, it is continuously updated on a daily basis. We recommend you update your eType with new versions and dictionaries as often as you can in order to receive the best user experience..
